The saga of Kibakichi the samurai werewolf continues as his travels find him coming upon a mad man who had just slaughtered a group of people. A fight between the two ensues with the stranger striking and injuring Kibakichi. Badly wounded, Kibakichi finds his way to a nearby small town, where he to the aid of Matsu, a blind girl about to be attacked by a wild dog. He learns that the strange man who attacked and wounded him - Sakuramaru - was evil, and feared by everyone in the village. Sakuramaru had been chased from the small village, but not before he had killed many people, including Matsu's father. Kibakichi promises Matsu that he would kill Sakuramaru. But, unknown to Kibakichi, he is being spied on by a strange group of people - and someone from his past - who is out for revenge!
